What is First Alert?

First Alert is an award-winning Mobile App that gives you the assurance of a 24hr Emergency Response via our state-of -the-art Global Emergency dispatch centre.

How does it work?

By simply tapping on any service listed on your First Alert dashboard, you will be connected to a trained professional who will provide real-time emergency response as necessary.

In what countries does your service provide emergency coverage?

The First Alert service is available anywhere in the world you travel. Once internet connectivity is available on your smartphone, you are covered.

Do I need to have internet connectivity to access this service?

The First Alert app is a cloud-based mobile application and as such, mobile data or WIFI will be required to facilitate the emergency dispatch process.

Do I need phone credit?

Phone credit (minutes) is not required to utilize the First Alert Service.

I am travelling with my family? Do you offer family coverage?

Yes we do. You can select our Couples or Family Protection plan when signing up.

How does the Friend in Need (Urgent SOS Alert) feature work?

This feature is designed primarily to assist you in case of emergencies such as abduction. By simply tapping on this option, it will automatically generate a pre-scripted text message and email to your primary Emergency contact, indicating that urgent help is required. Within this message there will be a link to your precise location so the receiver will know exactly where you’re located. Please ensure that the Emergency contact section in your Account info is completed during registration.

What happens in the event that I need an ambulance or Tow truck?
Is there a cost for this?

If required, First Alert will dispatch an ambulance and/or Tow truck in case of an Emergency. Subscribers will be required to pay the service providers directly for these services.

Does your Call Centre provide support for issues deemed as Non-Emergencies?

No. Our Agents are trained to handle situations classified as Emergencies only. Emergency situations are those that require immediate intervention. For example: Where someone could get hurt, injured, or worse if something is not done immediately. Non-emergency situations are those that may not require immediate intervention.

Does First Alert handle calls on behalf of the Police?

No we do not. First Alert is a private, subscriber-based service that has no affiliation with any national or public service provider. If you believe you are in danger from a crime in progress, we encourage you to contact your local police station.

Is my account information safe?

The First Alert service is secured on our Cloud Server by the most modern encryption technology. Your information is safe.
